More Job Market Hilarity

I was flipping through some job postings and came across one, the heading of which simply read:

Chair of Dementia

Now, I realize that this is likely a job for a position as the head of a psychiatry department. But it still cracked me up.

"Chair of Dementia" is totally the name of my new imaginary rock band.

  • It sounds like some kind of torture thing you'd find at Madame Tussaud's...

Hey, remember that goofy last movie Natalie Wood made with Christopher Walken about that device you could put on your head and experience recorded experiences other people had had...(oh f-it, I'm not fixing that, you'll just have to read it twice and figure out what I'm talking about!) it was called BRAINSTORM.

So you sit in the CHAIR OF DEMENTIA and you experience...well, you get the idea.

Wow. That was a lot of work. I think I'll go take a nap.

p.s. REALLY you're looking for a new job, Feem?

  • Oh my god--that is the funniest (and quite possibly the dirties) thing I have read in a LONG time.

I'd like to NOT sit in the chair after Louise Fletcher, I think.

I am indeed (however lackadaisically) looking for a new job. It's hard work!

  • You're right! Louise Fletcher WAS in that movie!

The truth is that I always kinda thought that idea was pretty good. And I adore Christopher Walkin, of course. And Natalie, of course...you kind of have to after West Side Story and all.

So I'd rent BRAINSTORM again except that the last time I saw it was a LONG time ago and I was pretty...well, stoned. I wonder if I'll still think it was such a good idea if I see it now. Kind of hate to wreck the memory...

And Feemus, you really are? Why not open a bar in Missoula?

    Hmmmmmmm?

  • Ah, that's not fair. I would LOVE to open a bar or restaurant in Missoula.

You mustn't tempt me when I am trying to be responsible. Although....

I don't know that I've ever seen BRAINSTORM all the way through. Being stoned would no doubt help.

  • Yes, even through the fog I think I can remember that the ending was pretty lame. Or very.

Sorry about the Missoula thing -- that was a little imprudent of me...still...wouldn't that just be the bomb?

  • It would be pretty freakin' awesome. Claud and Feemus on the town!!

If I moved to Missoula, would you join my imaginary rock band? The imaginary practices wouldn't take much time. And think of all the imaginary groupies!

    Just imagine.

    Sigh.

  • I like it. I like it a lot. I've always sort of felt I should have been an imaginary rock star anyway...

  • Our first single could be a cover of "Ball of Confusion"!

  • Indeed, Feemus.
